Stephanie Fleckenstein - Creative Director, House of Fleck Interiors
When pregnant with their second child and moving to be closer to family 11 years ago, Stephanie went into high gear to get their previous house “show ready.” All of the planning, organizing and styling paid off. Their home sold in less than 24 hours with multiple offers over asking! This sparked a new love for clean, curated and organized interiors. With design now growing in her heart, shortly after their daughter was born, a close friend invited Stephanie to an open house that she was hosting. When it was over, Stephanie was sure that her friend would receive multiple offers if the home was properly staged. After tons of research, her first company was born in 2015 called 2L Design & Staging, named after her two children, and to further her Interior Design knowledge, she excelled at her NYIAD coursework.
“My love for all things interior has evolved over the past 10 years tremendously.” She noticed a switch in clients between 2019-2020 from staging to interior styling so it was time for a rebrand and she launched House of Fleck Interiors. Working from home during the pandemic was amazing for business. Feeling so grateful during a hard time for a lot of people was such a humbling surprise. Outgrowing her home office in 2022, she opened her first studio knowing that big things were right around the corner.
Her aesthetic is described as clean, calm and original. She is vibrant, refreshing and fun when it comes to her client relationships. “I love the challenge that each project brings. Blending styles with couples to curate a home that functions in a way that they love is why I do what I do!”
My Collaboration Story...
We are Stephanie and Jessica, both owners of Central Florida design firms, House of Fleck Interiors and House of TROPI Design Studio. We have had many engaging projects we are extremely proud of and are established designers in our own independent journey through the years. When we were invited to a mutual friend’s barbecue, we had no idea that we would be collaborating in the design world. We casually mentioned we both were Interior Designers and the conversation proceeded to have a hundred “me too’s” that afternoon. Fast forward to an endless amount of text messages and so many fun inseparable design hours later, our inspiring friendship solidifies that our hearts were meant for this. Aside from sharing the same design philosophy of truly helping people as our number one mantra, we have the perfect balance of individual strengths. With love and tremendous support we respect each other’s styles and have the best time working together! We are excited to create spaces for our current and future clients with the philosophy of “better together.” We have created a Co-op space for designers to work side by side called "The Design House!"
Jessica Frederick - Principal Designer, House of Tropi, Co-Founder, The Design House
“I’ve always been in the arts, painting, sculpture and interior design.” Her flair for design led her to Studio Art and Graphic Design and then a deep connection with Interior Design.
She's unique, bringing a rare blend of creativity and also business intelligence. Her knowledge in construction, project management, and architecture gives her the opportunity to mentor her team and clients through all phases of their projects.
Among South Florida’s talented interior designers, with 20 years experience, Jessica has worked with top designers and private clients in the USA, South America, and Europe using her keen intuition to design and project manage beautiful interiors for her clients. "My journey has been great, I really feel blessed."
From the east coast of Florida to the Gulf, she fell in love with the people, beautiful beaches, and coastal homes here. "It's such a warm, welcoming place.” With a big heart and fearlessness, she really enjoys making a home fit someone perfectly. "It's my responsibility to find out what a client's definition of happiness is and give it to them.”
Chloe Green - Interior Stylist
Chloe is currently a senior at the University of Tampa, transferring from the University of South Dakota. She is pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Design with a minor in Business Administration. With a strong passion for digital art and interior design, she combines creativity with functionality to bring meaningful visual concepts to life. After graduation, she plans to earn a certificate in Residential Interior Design to further specialize in creating beautiful and meaningful spaces.. Collaborating with the design team provides a dynamic and rewarding profession for her that combines artistic expression with functional solutions.
Shannon McMillan - Window Treatment Specialist
Meet Shannon, a proud St. Pete native and a creative force behind our company. With roots deeply embedded in the vibrant Sunshine City culture, Shannon brings a local perspective and a passionate eye for design to every project. Her love for all things fashion and style shines through in the details, as she crafts spaces that exude a unique aesthetic and charm. As a devoted mom of three, Shannon understands the importance of creating homes that are both beautiful and functional for families.
After years of working in marketing and private sectors, Shannon's journey into the world of interior design finally manifested. She wished, hoped, and dreamed for an opportunity that materialized when she received the nod from House of Fleck at a time they were seeking to grow. A true believer in the power of encouragement and the pursuit of dreams, she approaches each project with enthusiasm and dedication. As a forever learner, she thrives on new challenges and opportunities for growth. Shannon is committed to turning visions into reality and creating spaces that inspire and uplift the spirits of all who inhabit them.
